Fresh manure is best

by | Dec 23, 2014 | Composting, In the Garden

Along our Daylesford route, someone is taking good care of manure. Now it is most exciting to find this fresh supply. Someone out there has horses and a good love of gardeners, because instead of filling up bags with spent, old, leached of nutrients manure, they fill the bags with a fresh batch and to keep it fresh they place this precious fertiliser in multiple plastic bags to keep the rain from washing all the nutrients away. Now on most occasions I turn up my nose at plastic bags but not at these! And into the compost the manure will go for next summers garden to love and behold…

Fresh - just the way you want it.
