Home made pasta class – Orecchiette

Pasta, music, songs and lunch with three Italians!

This is a very unique and special event.

Roberta Ingrosso, Salvatore Rossano and I will be hosting an orecchiette and pasta alla chitarra class at ORTO Farm.
Roberta and Salvatore are Pugliesi and I am from Le Marche.
We love our culture and our language, our songs and our culinary dishes.

Roberta will teach you to make the really fabulous orecchiette (ear lobed) shaped pasta and pasta alla chitarra (guitar pasta) using la chitarra tool.
Salvatore will sing, sing, sing. He is a wonderful and very authentic musician with a deep rich love for his art. And I! I love to sing too! And will share with you some of my favourite Italian folk songs.

We will start with a tour of our newly burgeoning permaculture property, then weave a path to the farmhouse kitchen to begin our class.
This is a hands on class. You will make orecchiette for our shared lunch, Salvatore will shower us with songs and also show you how to make a Pugliese ragu` and then Roberta will demonstrate how to make pasta alla chitarra.
We will share lunch, wine and desert and enjoy songs throughout the day.

I’ve been wanting to host this day for a very long time! and am sooooo happy I get the chance to do so.

What To Bring
Please bring your apron and enthusiasm and if you enjoy our language we would love to hear a few words or lots and lots of words, as we will speak Italian a little here and a little there.
